First Strike: Book Launch
I'm planning to launch my first book, once it get's published, in a special evening at Spennymoor Settlement. As a member of that wonderful establishment, I feel it would carry on the longstanding traditions of the association. I can only hope my writing becomes as well known as that of Sid Chaplin, an author who began his writing days in that small but significant set of buildings.
With a launch at the Settlement, I believe the only way to go is up.

First Strike: Book Signings
Once again I am planning this for when my first book is published. Being an avid reader and a lover of all things printed between paper covers, I'd like nothing more than to spend an afternoon sitting in one of my favourite bookshops... Speaking to fellow book lovers about the story that has spent 14 months driving me up the wall with writer's block and plot bunnies.
So far I intend to do two book signings for First Strike; one at my favourite bookshop in Durham, and the other at a bookshop somewhere in London. When these occur will obviously depend on when my book get's published and released, so at this time I can only plan the general details. The where will also depend on the acceptance of the bookshops, but I can't see there being a problem in that department. What good bookshop turns down a free book signing?
